Butterscotch Latte

Ingredients:

Prepare Butterscotch Sauce:

-Candyland Butter scotch 12 candies

-Doodh (Milk) ⅓ Cup

-Cream ½ Cup

-Makhan (Butter) unsalted 1 & ½ tbs

-Vanilla essence 1 tsp

-Iodized Himalayan pink salt 1 pinch

Prepare Coffee Shot

-Hot water ½ Cup

-Instant coffee 2 tbs

Assembling:

-Doodh (Milk) hot ¾ Cup

-Whipped cream 2 tbs or as required

-Ice cubes as required

-Doodh (Milk) chilled ¾ Cup

-Whipped cream 2-3 tbs or as required

 

Direction:

Prepare Butterscotch Sauce:

-In a ziplock bag, add butterscotch candies & crush well with the help of rolling pin & set aside.

-In a pan, add milk, cream & whisk well.

-Turn on the flame.

-Add butter & whisk well bring it to simmer on low flame.

-Add crushed butterscotch candy & cook while whisking continuously until candies melt & fully incorporate with creamy milk.

-Add vanilla essence & pink salt then mix well. Cook on low flame for 1-2 minutes, butter scotch sauce is ready! let it cool completely.

-Can be stored in Refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Prepare Coffee Shot

-In hot water, add instant coffee, beat well, for 1 minute or until froth forms, coffee shot is ready, set aside.

Assembling:

Hot Butterscotch Latte

-In a serving cup, add 2 tbs of prepared butterscotch sauce, hot milk, prepared coffee shot, garnish with whipped cream & crushed butterscotch candy & serve!

Cold Butterscotch Latte

-In a serving glass, add 3 tbs of prepared butterscotch sauce, ice-cubes, chilled milk, half of prepared coffee shot, garnish with whipped cream & crushed butterscotch candy & serve!
